Been looking at this bike for ages, since its been announced. Now that I can get one, there are none to buy!
Can anyone tell me why harley would advertise the Iron so heavily on tv, if they dont have any to sell.
Apparently because the situation in the US they are producing less than normal. Its March and the nearest chance of getting an Iron is May 2011. Thats just a joke!
I understand it usually takes anywhere from 3-6months to get one from the US, but over a year, to get one! I love the Iron, but common Harley!

Okay, ive had my 2 cents worth. =)

Limited supply , will keep used bike price's high . Sportsters always have had good resale values to start with anyway , now it will be even better i'm guessing .

I am in WA. So it makes pickings even smaller =)
I really love the matt black finish. If the Nightsters came in matt black, I would be all over it!

    Hey mate.

i tryed to locate a black iron back in january, only found one in QLD which was to far away.
I put an order down for one at Frasers in Sydney, they told me June July til i got one.
They called me after a week in Jan to say they found a silver one which no one wanted.
I snapped it up and now ride it every day.
So you might be lookin probly ebd of year to get one.
    Good Luck.

Think it's strange that they're hard to come by... picked mine off the floor in Mackay (Nth QLD) and was sure there was another black and a silver out back... must be popular :)

I will try again ..... For the old timers , wasn't a rat bike back in the 70's an acronym for "rust almost terminal" ?
