Wow, ancient history coming up....mate, I bought a Prolift all those years ago. Still works great, never had an issue...and that shop use, not casual home use.

Yeah I bought one a few years back when I had the Dyna also bought the orange blocks from HD which I used to just clip onto the frame and she worked ok very stable. The softail doesn't need the blocks as mentioned 5 years ago in this thread it just fits under but is very stable once in the air.

I’ve been using my orange pro lift since 07  with the harley orange frame mounts
made for dynas  but  I use them on my softails as thay do need them
Otherwise it sits on the rear shocks  , much more stable with orange blocks
No frame scratching  , I went and grabbed a new one today  as. My
Old one started leaking in last 12 mths and every time I used it would
Leave oil trails in my workshop  I know a lot of other forum members
Have had issues with them pretty early on from new  I tried to get
A seal kit from the oz supplier but no go there even buying a new jack only.
The new ones look a bit different  on the box to the older version  hopefully
this one will  Last 15 years lol

Update  with the newer style pro lift
Well I got one put it together on the weekend  better user safety lock design
But that’s it , it’s  smaller  about 2 inches narrower  and 3 inches shorter
I tried under one of my softails with the harley orange blocks ,
I don’t like it  it’s more unstable  left to right and end to end
So I got my young bloke to swap the new jack to the old orange lift  all bolt on
No modes needed   ,I just tried it  a presto  a lift I would recommend  using .

The newer version would be fine for smaller bikes but I wasn’t happy with it
I’ll see if I can get the leaking jack fixed through a jack repair mob
Than pass the smaller one on to my young blokes for there dirt bikes

Both lifts are rated at 680kg  but in my opinion the orange one is the better one

Thanks for review and comparison of the old and the new lifts. After reading that I hope I got the old one. Father in law bought it for me but I havent seen it as away from home for a while. I'll be happy with either at the end of the day as ive never had one.
