Howdy, I'm Paul but mostly known as "Mega!".....................amongst other things
I'd like to say I currently ride a 96 Sporty XL 1200s.........but I'm currently unable to ride anything and my beloved sporty "Red" (it's hard to imagine why I called her that) is currently undergoing surgery at Frasers HD in Morley. That's the joys of being on the wrong side of a roundabout curbing after hitting dirt & debris from an earlier car crash Fortunately the bike is in better shape than I am
The sporty is my second Harley, I previously owned a 93 FXR and have kicked myself repeatedly for selling her over six years ago..........that's not to say that I haven't had a lot of good times on "Red" but the FXR was my first Harley and my first true love
I'll probably upgrade to a different model at some point and who knows, it may be another FXR, but I have to admit I do have a soft spot for the Heritage.........but then the new Rocker looks pretty sweet too......but what is up with that pillion seat on the custom?
Anyway, I look forward to getting information on "stuff" down the track.......I'm the first to admit that I'm not mechanically minded; other than a service & changing grips I pretty much excel at making the coffee!!!!!
G'day to any fellow HOG members on here too
G'day Paul... welcome and hope you and the bike are back on the road soon..... were you the guy who had the off at the roundabout at the bottom of Kwinana Fwy?
Re the Rockers... it's not just the pillion on the Custom!!! Both have wierd pillion arrangements!!! Tony
Get well soon and .........Welcome!
Hi and Welcome to the forum Paul
Happy to see that you are up and around after your tumble. At least now you can say you have ridden a bike,as you haven't ridden on till you come off one
nobody
Paul... don't think we have met, but suspected it was you who people were talking about at a HOG meeting... I only get to the odd meeting so only know a few peeps. Actually have only every been on one HOG ride... I tend to go to MRAWA meetings and work up at Barbagallo during race meets when I'm home for MCRCWA. Need to get out and meet more riders me thinks.
Fair enough, yep........it was more than likely me they were talking about. I know "Puff" mentioned it at the first meeting after the crash. He had actually called me in the hospital to check up on me. That's the great thing about Harley riders........we look after each other............and then pull the piss as much as possible when everything's ok!
Hi Mega,
how's it going mate, I'm up north myself. I get the nice coastal run down to Pelicans, might catch you there in November.
No worries mate, I try to get to every meeting as long as I'm not rostered to work late
I am known by another name with HOG as I have two nicknames with different groups of people! I'm going to get another name patch at a later date for my vest so as not to confuse too many people
Its a shame that work gets in the way of us having fun.
