Hi mate, i moved from Cairns last year..there are some great roads to ride around Cairns, Port Douglas, or up to the Atherton Tablelands.

someone else posted up an intro from Gove couple years ago.... as you say not much tarmac around your area so if you hit the gravel often watch out for belt damage
