Hi all,
want to drop about an inch seat height on a '10 road king standard, looking at a sundowner seat on line and its a bit hard to tell - are they lower?
If not what's a good seat that will not compromise comfort for the pillion but still give me a lower seat height?
or should I just get my seat cut down an inch?
or stop bitching and just deal with it?
And seeing as I already have your attention, what do you all reckon about 1 1/4 inch fat bars for the 'king? same ones they put on the SE ' king over the last few years...looks like they come back about a couple of inches further than standard.
cheers, Stumbly
The Sundowner seat is a different position to and much more comfy than the stocker but I wouldn't say it lowers you an inch.
Perhaps have a look at the reach seat?
cheers Surly
Thanks for the info hogbag, I probably need to go forward a little rather than back. By the photo you sent on one of my other posts it certainly looks the goods but.
G'day Phantom,
Thanks for the info mate - sounds like they will do the trick. Decided to go with the sundowner, if the 'bars have a little extra pull back, I shouldn't need the reach seat.
I'm around 5'8" so should work (not quite "short ass midget gnome" but close!) ordered from MandM, A$582.70 including shipping for both.
Not bad eh? Frasers wanted A$599 just for the seat. Oh, sorry, minus my 10% discount.
Cheers, Stumbly
