    G'day all,

After a lifetime of dreaming i can finally say i own a Harley!

As most of us have, i started riding dirt bikes at a young age and then progressed to some Jap and Italian items all the while wishing for a HD.

I have fulfilled my dream with a 2005 softail deluxe which i have purchased recently, it is fantastic to ride and  i am looking forward to clocking up many miles on the back of the big lux!

I would like to thank everyone here as i trolled the forum for info for months prior to finding my bike.

    G'day Dlux, cool name!

Don't know about being a chicks bike?! Its low and fat with cool white walls and miles of chrome...

Its pearl black according to HD but i'd say metallic gunmetal grey..

Have fitted 3" forward control extensions and am just working out the riding position at the moment to plan some further mods

    Thanks for the welcome guys,

Am loving the low seat height but have fitted a tallboy seat as the standard seat is too far forward for me being 6' plus, don't mind the look of the standard solo seat so might have to go aftermarket or modify the original. I wish the weather would clear up, every time i get a spare minute from work it pours down!

Speaking of seats, I have three, yes three seats. The original which I don't particularly like cause I am also 6'0, and I dont enjoy sitting on the tank and my knees being up against my ears. A Fatboy seat and pillion, which is great around town with the missus, and my favourite, a Heritage seat off a 2000 model which is brilliant... Sit on a Heritage and see what you think, then check out E Bay, there are some bargains.

Thanks robcig, yeah am thinking of something similar. The tallboy is quite well padded and matches up well with the sissy bar for the finance minister if she comes for a ride..
Will have to try out a heritage, was thinking that was a good option.
Now how to convince the wife i too need three seats....
