Hey, wanting to know if anyone has bought or ridden the new HD 2010 Wide Glide. Looking at picking one up but haven't been able to take one for a spin yet. Love the Limited Editon Flame paint scheme, looks sick. I used to have an 08 StreetBob which was perfect. How will the drag bars go on long trips? Anyone got a set similar or same as those that come stock with the new WG?    I loved the mini apes on my SB and was thinking I might get a set of longer ape hangers on my next bike. The drag bars look sick though.

G'Day Fargus,    Yes and Yes,, I was pretty much in the same boat as you re not being able to test ride one, or even see one in the flesh.

I checked out lots of web pics and googled all the test ride reports I could find in mags and on the web.

From what I saw I pretty well decided that this was going to be my next ride, so ordered one.     No regrets, in fact it has exceeded my expectations and I'm real happy with it.

First three rides were 800 KMS each and had no problems with the bars, or anything for that matter.

Last two machines have been an '82 FXRS and an '09 Road King, so this one has put a little more excitement back into my life.

At 179 cm, 115 kg, wide arsed and fat gutted I seem to fit the Widey quite well. The forward controls and bars are sweet.

If ya end up with one, my advice would be to try it as is for a while before you decide to part with your hard earned hoot on accessories that just might not suit.

If ya like the look, yal dig the ride.

Thanks man. Those V&H shortshots on yours? I had shortshots on my FXDB, great noise! Might look into the short exhaust that faces the ground, I'm under the impression they're just cut exhausts. Would be even louder than the shortshots I'd imagine.

Dees ones are the V&H Big Shots Staggered. They sound great.
