I wanna put V&H short shots on my nightster! Do i need to Fuel Pak, Air breather, Dyno or anything else? or will i be fine with jus bolting these things on?
Seroiusly i hear so many different things from weekend warriors ti die hard gear freaks.
What really is the low down and can anyone give a straight answer? Tim K
Im not doing one without the other im asking for advice.
Cheers
Hey Bano you are a weekend warrior ain't you
simple answer is YES..... if ya going to do pipes do the brain aswell... I had a nightster with your above mentioned mods.... 1- it will be LOUD so get ready to annoy the neibours... 2- it's shit easy if ya have a little bit of tool knowledge .... 3- what the hell are you waiting for .... got all of my stuff from Robs cycle supply via fleabay..... no affiliation or kickbacks were entered into....
It's up to you, most put on pipes and bigger air and some type of fuel computer whether an add on or reprogram the computer the bikes already got, I am yet to see or hear of anyone (in my limited enviroment) having any trouble with not having all 3 done, I have all 3 mods but have a mate with a 07 fatboy with aftermarket pipes, bigger breather but no fuel changes and has 22.000k's and bike still runs like a dream. I have heard/read that on the newer bikes the fuel computer will make the necessary fuel changes required to a certain extent. Anyone out there heard of someone on a 06-07 or newer bike blowing up the engine beacause it was running too lean from not adjusting the fuel/air ratio with an aftermarket product?
Ready to be corrected.
