Yesterday a few of us went and spent Anzac day with a Mate for his 40th in Wedderburn , About 2  1/2 hrs up the calder highway. Anyway just came out of some little town sitting on a $130 over take a couple of cars start backin off and sitting on 118, When a tog comes the other way does this MASSIVE u turn (everyone looking in the rear veiw mirrors) then comes flying up lights sirens. Myself, front left pulls to the side and everyone follows. Cop starts asking all these questions noone being smart and then asks where does it staight that you guys can do 120klm in the state of victoria. Well sir it doesnt myself and frank just over took those cars and when you put the go into these hogs they really get up and go, and as we all ride together we like to stay together.Well he said you do realise its a $220 fine for that kind of speed, Yes sir we do and we dont have a good enough reason and we done the wrong thing. We all handed over our lic he does the check thing comes back and starts talking to us about the bikes, On the side of the road for a good 10/15 min and he says now listen there a road side camera about 8ks up the road and my boss is about 20 min behind me so you get what im tellin yeah, yes sir we do and he told us to enjoy the rest of the ride and stafe safe. As we passed his boss his boss smiled at us and put his lights on, We got pasted the camera on the side of the road and got back up to the $120 again. Coming home today we went through the same erea and see him in the bushes and he dropted the radar down and gave us a wave. Not a bad bloke cos i think we would of done our brief this time just on 135 ks over taking a b double.

Had a similar experience on the Australia day run, we were helped out by half a dozen coppers in Pinjarra that rendered assistance to one of our guys that had taken a tumble. (We were too busy laughing to render assistance so we left that to the Jacks)He ended up being stitched up at the Pinjarra Hospital where the doctor put a "I've been a brave boy" sticker on his helmet!

Anyway after that we said thanks and headed off, not much later we approached a speed trap doing about 125 and the cop holding the gun just pointed it at the ground and nodded us through. I reckon the guys back in Pinjarra had called ahead and told em we were no trouble and let us pass.
