I've had quiet a few quick cars & Jap bikes tuned specifically for E10 & the results spoke for them selves. - E10 has a quicker burn rate but is cheaper & is able to support more advance than conventional fuels when tuned correctly for the application.

Anyone here running their bikes on E10 fuel?

Anyone here tuned their EFI bikes specifically for E10 & what where the results?

I have a 2009 Softie - do I have to get it mapped for the E10 fuel or do I just stick the fucker in the fuel tank and ride?

You considered advice, if you may,  in due course please, Good Sir.

You can run it on E10. - BUT, without tuning changes, the the bike run leaner. - If this is an issue will depend on how the tune is that is in it now.

To get the most out of E10, I'd be tuning for it. - On a modifed XR6 Turbo falcon the difference between the tunes for E10 (Boost 98) and the tune for BP's Ultimate 98 was 304rwkw compared to 288rwkw. The only changes were the fuel, and the tune.

Geez, why the fuk would you run a Harley on that shit?
Btw, i work in the oil industry and i know the refining processes, so im not just talkin thru my arse.
For a few cents more, you get heaps better mileage, keeps your engine clean and healthy, much crisper throttle response.
    Run them on premium ffs!

I wouldn't put E10 in anthing that doesn't get used regularly, all good if you ride daily though, but if your a weekend worrier like me .... it's a BIG risk, yes engines will go better when tuned for it.

The E10 blend of fuel/ethanol and additives seperates really fast, a lot faster than any other fuels once seperation begins the heavier additives and shit will settle at the bottom of your tank and will fuck some composite metal parts, corrode the tank and perish fuelines and even make the engine run badly and fuck it up - hence why the fuel companies don't recommend it for boats and recreational vehicles !!!!

While I was working for a fuel company I did a fair amount of research into it after buying my boat it has a 2007 115hp EFI merc that is E10 compatiable but all fuel companies and dealers said don't use it .... had to find out why for myself.

Just my opinion from what I have learnt.

Have used E10 quite regularly in the '05. Runs OK but prefers 95 and I get a lot better fuel consumption.  I'd use E10 in preference to 91. Bike does not run well on 91. Pings and farts. The HD manual says that the bike can run on up to 10% ethanol.
