Hi Guys,i have a bung back and want to bring my bars closer to me on my 08 Lowrider so i can sit upstraight. I was thinking of western bars as i beleive this would be my best bet to keep my back straight when riding.

I am unsure wether i am to get 1 and a quarter or 1 inch bars?

I see Kenma are selling Ventura bars for around the couple hundred mark which i think sounds reasonable, has anyone had these and would i need to replace my cables?

    http://www.kenma.com.au/ven_hb.html

Does anybody have any ideas that can assist me as it would greatly be apreciated.

I put westerns on my 07 superglide, I put on 1 1/4 that I picked up from a swap meet, not sure of the brand

fitted without to much drama, butI did had to change my brake line,as the stock was just a little too short

    I like the riding position

i've had westerns on 2 dynas and my last 2 fatboys, i like the position that the bars give you,
fitted 1 1/5 Burlieghs with 4 inch rise to my 09 fatty, didn't have to change any of the cables or wiring, have now got 1 3/4 bars to fit soon, so the 1 1/5 are for sale , PM me if your interested

Hey guys or gals, many thanks for the input, but i dont get what it means though when they say you can fit 1inch or 1 and a quarter inch? I thought you would only be able to install one thickness.

which ever bars you buy make sure they will fit your risers, thats the important part or you'll have to change them also,
bars that have different heights and widths can also affect if you need to change out your cables and such, with the westerns on my bikes i haven't needed to change the lenghts of any cables , they do have some slack in them from factory,
generally the thicker bars will reduce down at the ends for factory controls and in the middle for the risers

Hey guys again many thanks for the heads up with the bars as it has helped me out a lot with my decisions,it is truly apreciated.
I just hope that if i buy the mid westerns they are going to be lots closer so i dont have to lean as much,i like the ventura ones as there far cheaper than burleigh bars.

The last owner had a problem with reach, thats why they went on.......I changed it back to standard and have the western style gathering dust in the spare parts bin (which his growing fast)...........pm me with your email address if oou are interested and i can send some photos of them on the bike mate.
