Where the fuck do you put it?

The instructions are shit, It dont go where they say to put it

I'm gonna have to find another spot for the actual unit because the alarm module is in the spot the instructions say to put it

But the biggest problem I found so far is the original plug for the ECM and the new plug for the PCIII when connected seem to be too close to the rear cylinder head and I cant see how to route it away from everything else

Any advice or even pics would be appreciated

If its anything like the Fuelpak you have to move the alarm unit over out of the way onto the backbone so to speak. Hope this helps. My instructions were vague on the alarm too but it did say you have to move it .

My unit is resting on top of all the shit under the seat. I didn't install it though so that's all I can say

    Thanks for the replies fella's

Do you know how the alarm module is held in there?

And once it is moved does it have to stay at the same angle or can it sit anywhere

I know on mine if you lift the bike off the side stand the alarm goes off if the fob is not present so it kind of says to me that the module has to sit at the right angle, But I could be wrong on that

    Any info appreciated

I whacked a fuelpak on the old man's bike and had to relocate the alarm modulke to the spine to accommodate the piggyback wiring harness plug. Didn't secure it, not much room for it to move/vibrate as it was. The fuelpak still sat on top of it all under the seat and no malfunctions with the alarm as yet.....

Thanks for the help and suggestions

I have managed to fit the PCIII just behind the battery box under the seat

The plugs I had a hell of time trying to make fit somewhere until I removed the active exhaust module shit thing then I had plenty of room to work with

took it for a ride today and the bike feels much stronger, And guess what? It did not throw any codes to say the exhaust shit thing was missing so I'm happy with that

Also changed the air cleaner to the Screamin Eagle stage 1 kit but haven't ridden it yet, Had a couple of beers after so maybe tomorrow if the weather holds, Supposed to be raining here tomorrow

Hopefully the air cleaner intake valve flap thing wont throw codes and I'll be happy

My mate did almost the same to his 08 Fatbob and that hasn't thrown any codes either in 5000K's so I might be lucky

Anyway time for another beer, Sorry for the long post

If  you do get error codes just install the intake actuator eliminator blanking plug, you can get them from BigJoes (one of the sponsors)

there are two sets of instructions... I installed mine last Sept in an '07 Street Bob where the alarm goes and put the alarm behind battery box under seat. When I found new instructions have changed everything... what pipes you installed? If you want a copy of the instructions PM me with your email. Easier than me putting up instructions via Photobucket.
