Anyone had any experience with the Dukes??

I was intersted in getting a ride at Pro Cycles of the new "R" version SuperDuke 990.

I would'nt replace the harley but set her up for more 2-up riding and this as my weekend hoon machine...

Overpriced
slow compared to a 1000 sport bike
will take a massive hit with resale and very hard to sell
will be good around town and in the tight stuff but will be very flat at high speed and no wind protection
A full priced duke R would be the same as the new BMW S1000r....what would be more fun !!!!!

my mate has one, i've ridden it a few times, yes fuel mileage sux but bikes are cheap to fill up, awesome bike, wheelies so easy, turns like u woulodn't believe and I'm not just comparing it to my harley lol.

I would definately have one as a second bike but overall i'll always be more happy with my cruizer, keep my license for longer too i reckon, hoon machine for sure...

I find them a little jerky in throttle responce, which can be a problem mid corner- until you get used to it..
As allready stated, resale sux.
But you see some great second-hand low K deals out there.

yeah cheeers guys. There is 2nd hand one with Akropovics for $11k. Must sounds tops with the pipes huh. I will have a fang on one and if I fall in love will find a 2-3yr old one thats suffering from re-sale / hard to move. Sounds like a plan.
