G'Day guys. Quick question: went on a good ride yesterday, stinking hot but bloody enjoyable nonetheless. Anyway, had to park the beast in the sun, came back about 2 hours later and there was fuel on the ground coming from the tube at the bottom of the float bowl. Not a huge amount but enough to cause concern if a ciggie butt got on it!! Anyway, opened fuel tank ( fat bob) and was like opening a coke bottle that had been kicked around like a footy, a ton of pressure. Havent seen this happen before and was wondering has anyone experienced this or have any advice on how to resolve.
Cheers

This should explain what happened, petrol is not the same product it was years ago and with the additions of alcohols it is changing more, alcohols boil at roughly 70 degrees at atmospheric pressure whilst petrol is up near 200, that is petrol in its base form.
