Hey guys is the 110 the biggest bolt on big bore kit for the 96 incher or is their bigger
Yea when i get a cash injection, wanna skip all the in betweens hilly and go straight to the top can u explain more about the cases
Any idea on what sorta figures im looking at for the 113
I have a mate with a 113 in a Street Glide. The Screamin Eagle lifters have a known problem - the lifter failed, broke both chains, destroyed the right case. He rode it out of the show room brand new as a 113. No warranty because HD say the SE 113 is for "race use only". Man was he pissed. I went with the S&S 124 because it comes with a 1 year unlimited km warranty. If you ever see a pic of the stock crank you will realise that it belongs in the shed in a box, not in a high performance engine. The S&S crank is built like a bank vault in comparison. I would steer clear of the Jims 131 as it has chain drive cams as well. If I was going to do my motor again I would buy a brand new SE case which is Timkened for $490 US and fit the S&S 124 kit, with a feuling or SE cam plate. The S&S 124 kit comes with 640 grind gear drive cams, S&S anti pump up lifters, ACR heads with triple valve springs, forged 4.125" bore pistons and forged 4 5/8 stroke crank. That way you just put the 96" in the shed and build the 124" around the SE cases. For pics of my build have a look at: http://s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb113/nautilus_shaz/Micks124SnS/
There is a pic there of the stock crank. Scary. I have tuned my motor up since I was last at WSID, I am confident that there is a mid 11 pass with the bags and screen on. My bike was 477kg on the weighbridge with me on it.
Thanks guys for all your feedback although im a bit confused now lol,all im after is a bit more horsepower and want my bike to sound insane(se,hf airfilter,204 cams,vh shortshots,s,e,p,s,t) still a bit tinny for my liking anymore ideas would greatly be appreciated and a cost estimate wouldnt go a stray either, anyway thanks again guys you are all fantastic with a great deal of interesting knowledge.
How much for the 124 cube s&s kit installed does it come with new throttle body
Great guys thanks heaps, at the mo my bike(07 dyna)is running the short shots with 204 cams but still sounds tinny for my liking, i think hilly mentioned i could wrap them with fibre glass (the baffles) would this make it sound better,(ie,deeper, louder quiter)hope not quiter lol,and if so is it easy to do and where would i get it from and around about how much, again thanks for all the help.
I have just the baffles they come out with, and they are cut in half, can u get different ones for them that will give a deeper note and get rid of that raspy sound
I'm happy with the results i have mate, i only have 95inch twinky and they work for me, buggered if i know about american builder m8.
i like supporting SE products as they support the sport i like. drag racing is the only way i know to test them out m8, we only have a 110kph limit. i thought you got to the track yourself?
scotty also i did not take out perfect stock TC lifters, mine had the case hardening going south, the Jim's i have have outlasted my stock lifters. jims are nothing special just like travel limiters, but thats all i could get at the time. now all your mates are jumping on ol bobby woods new lifters, makes you laugh hey.
cheers
