We are after a carby to suit this running gear, any info appreciated.

Its an 85 evo widglide,  so 1340cc  bored out 20thou - sifton warrior cam - balanced, ss adjustable rods, tubbed heads, with manly black diamond valves and springs, electronic ignition, it has one of the first s/e carby on it - low ratio 1st 2nd and 3rd and standard top gear, it should blast through the lower gears, then hit top, but its a bit lazy till it hits revs

    Thanks Hilly
Looks ok to me, I will pass this on to my brother, its his bike. I think the 42s go for about $600 new - I had one on my 1450 - good carby!

hi, them older S/E flowmaster carb are 46mm are not bad  but are a bit hard to dial in  as the idle  stays  working while the main runs over the top of it  the idle jet is the same as  early carbs 1976 to 1986,    the main  jet is a  differant  style  main jet size is between 110 -130 ,  idle should be about 60 to 68 size , clean fuel system 1st including tank & fuel cock , check timing ,    then set carb up last otherwise you can go around in circles tuning ,  also look-up cam spec's maybe cam is too big for a heavy bike  if it's not coming on song untill later in the rev range

hi , looked up spec to sifton cam 141  it could be too big for a stock EVO,   the exh side of the cam is very race type , crane 310-2 is a good choice for a mild 1340 ,
