Couple of Harleys are heading to Tassie next month. Do we need to disable the alarm on the Spirit of Tasmanis Ferry?  I think a couple of members went to the HOG rally and I thought they would know. Any other tips I need to know when heading accross to the Apple Isle?

Or lock the ignition keep the key with you and hide the fob on the bike. It's going to be strapped down tight and no ones gunna ride off with the bike in the middle of the tasman sea.

go over & back on the DAY ferry's...   ( you wont sleep on the Night ones.. )  

Thanks for all the good tips fellas. I think Lofty has given the easiest answer to my Fob problem. I asked a couple of blokes who have also been and they thought that leaving the fob on the bike was the easiest solution. I know we have been given quick directions on how to disable the alarm (I rekon Mick from Jabiru gave us the quick method) Anyway I don't have much faith in my "press this and then press that for 5 seconds" etc when I'm trying to get the bike tied down on the boat.
We are going over in the day trip, so we can see what's happening, and come back on the night trip. Have a decent cabin and will probably have a few drinks to rock the boat.
Should be a good trip.....lot's of photo opportunities.
