Anyone here had a play around with the setting on their fuelpak? -I have & have more questions.
My 12th month 09 Iron has Stag Short shots, Heavy Breather & A fuelpak, and the bike runs great but the only thing that drives me a little up the wallis I have noticed a hight idle with the fue pak on. - After alot of googling I thoght I'd try adjusting Mode number 1 down. - My recommended setting (FP-3030) has mode one set to "0".
What I can tell you is that the lower the number entered into the fuelpak on mode one, the lower my Idle is on cold start. - However going the other way and raising the setting will not raise the idle any further than it was previously, when the setting was at "0". - It's currenly set @ "-5".
Are their any gurus here know know what these modes represent?
If so, am I going about this the right way?
There's no documentation on the Fuelpak to tell you what these modes do. I tried once to experiement with them when I had one on the Sporty and I got really screwy results.
There is a U.S support number and email address for the Fuelpak which I found very good, check out the Fuelkpak website. Send them your question and they will tell you what to do, if it can be done.
This reply was supposed to go in a different post.
Im lost too!
Anyway, received a reply from V & H. - Seems I was on the right track with cold start Idle. - Mode 1 will affect it.
Also had an issue with a light hesitaion in the low midrange and received info back on how to fix that. - Made the changes they recommended & Fixed the issue.
They had me change mode 6 to 10 & mode 7 to 12.
(Interesting to note this is exactly half what the recommended setting is for those modes on my bike / combo as per the V & H Website)
This has got me thinking....
