Pulled up at a train crossing just before, train was going bloody slow and was really long, I could feel the bike heating up a fair bit so decide to turn her off while waiting ..... last few carridges approaching so turned ignition back on, the bike did its normal stuff could hear the fuel pump and servos working but nothing on the starter button just a couple of chirps from the alarm ??? turned it off again, back on same thing, checked the kill switch - still on run, filked it back and forward - still no go, just alarm chirps ????? turned it off and on a few more times but still no different ???? ended up pushing the bike off the road and as soon as it started to move the alarm went off ???? checked my pockets incase I had somehow lost my FOB - nup still there, alarm then stopped, turned the ignition off and on again and away she went ????
WTF .... anyone else had this happen? is it possible my FOB battery is going flat?
This seems a not too uncommon problem. It happens to me if I pull up in the wrong place in my front yard, and know of others that have had it happen at servos.Apparently it is when the vehicle is in close proximity to power cables.I only have to move my bike a few feet or face it in another direction and no problems. So is obviously caused by electromagnet radiation from the power lines.
nobody
FOB battery may be on it's way our..... or interference from power lines or RF of some sort.... i.e cellular tower, radio at signal lights, on train.... could be any number of things... have had mine play up on occasions.... most likely is RF interference
