Just received my new fancy (must have cost a few pennies to make) Freedom Reward Miles Card.
This is a replacement for the previous Dealer discount for local HOG membership (often available at other dealers around Oz)
some of the Terms and conditions
membership including unclaimed miles expire after 24 months inactivity
only available for genuine HD goods and services
program membership may be cancelled at discretion of dealer or HD
If member or dealer cancels membership remaining reward miles forfeited
Reward miles may be subject to fringe benefit tax or other tax assessment
max 10,000 miles and min of 1000 to be redeemed in any one transaction
reward miles can be redeemed on new or used HD motorcycle purchases or against a variety of NOMINATED parts, accessories and merchandise
It does not say what reward miles you get against purchases.
Unless a rider wants to attend HOG events, the benefits that used to exist for being a HOG memebrs (10% discount) is gone. I can get discount of genuine (and non genuine) parts for my scoot at Motorcycle Territory. I just wonder how this will affect membership of HOG in the coming years
