Hi guys, new member, 1st post so tell me if I've stuffed it up and done it in the wrong place.

I have an 09 Heritage and wonder if anyone can give me a list of whats in a Harley Softail tool kit as I have a big tool kit in my

garage and want to carry all the stuff I should need for the bike but nothing extra.  Don't want to go and buy a new kit cos I've probably

    got most of it already.

    Cheers.

I got the snap on one thru M&M prior to travelling.

I added a small shifter, leatherman, tyre gauge, blue loctite, small torch, tape n zip ties. Check that the kit has the right axle spanners for your axles as they change at least once between 2000 and 2010.

Separately I have two ratchet tie down straps, a tyre repair kit and a very small compressor from Slime

In 11,500kms i needed the suspension pump a few times (Bagger) and the 10mm spanner

    cheers

    On the subject of leathermans.
Which model do people find most useful on the bike.
I sell them in my shop would be good to be able to recommend one to riders.
    cheers

Don't know what's in the OME toolkit, but I reckon you've got two options,

    1. If ya from the old school,

        Imperial Allen Key set,

        A/F combination spanner set,

        torx bit set,

        roll of insulation tape,

        cable ties,

        6" cresent,

        4" mini multigrips,

one of those double ended small/ large flat & phillips head screwdrivers,

        an old beanie,

spare battery for the Fob, and ya disc lock if needed

        two $50.00 notes,

and if ya got room a small finelec.

(Tip; if ya wanna squeeze all of that into a strap-on tool bag, cut a good single malt whiskey tube to length so the end cap still fits and put the bulk of it in that,,,

helps keep     the shape of the bag good. [ Much classier than a bit of black poly tube] )

Are ya still allowed to wear a Leatherman on ya belt ?

    2. If ya from the new school, A Harley Assist card and a bat-phone.

Good luck, and may you never have to use either.
