I rewired mine to come on with hi-beam. I found oncoming vehicles get pissed if you hit lo-beam and your spots come on. What are the yanks thinking? My roadie has the best lights of any bike I've had. Never had to replace a globe but I would think they would be powered through a relay so they should cope with higher wattage globes.

From memory the feed to the spot light switch came straight off the low beam circuit so I moved to the high beam side.

Took WazzA's diagram to the dealer on 1st service and asked them to wire as per diagram.  No problem. No Charge. (even though they didn't know prior to viewing diagram). Had passing lamps pointed down somewhat (as they were too high) so as not to annoy cagers.  Now have option of passing lamps 'on' or 'off' on either low or high beam.  Best of both worlds.  Thanks WazzA
