Rough ride

    any ideas on how to fix rough ride on 883c bloody hell need to see chiro after each ride.

    hi, the custon has short forktubes & damper rods & spring also the rear shocks are shorter damper rods than a XLH  the model only has about 1-2 " of suspensoin travel , on my mates bike i put 1200 lenght fork tubes + damper rods + race tech springs  or 1200 type  springs &  slighter longer ikon rear shocks , if you do the front forks you can still live with the rear shocks if you have too

    thanks guys bloody shits you that you have to spend big bucks on a new bike dealer couldn't give a shit now bike is sold all the" we look after you" crap is history.

    If you think the Iron has a rough ride, then take a Low out for a test ride!! After riding my wifes Low (pre Ikon), the Iron felt like an armchair ride, and to tell the truth even after 3000km the only suspension I want to change is the front end. Go Figure!
    Where is the preload set on the bikes we are talking about here?

    put new ikon shocks on 883 custom 2 weeks a go makes a big difference.

    The Shocks also need time to Bed in then they soffen up

    the std shocks have a fair amount of adjustment in the 5 stages if there to hard wind em down to the softest setting then work up one click at a time !!i found the std shocks bottomed out- not to hard!!i'm running progressives off a dyna !!!!!!!!!!and +2 what bucket said !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
