Just looking at the For Sale Thread and this question came to mind.
Can't really see the attraction with towing a tralier with a bike.
Apart from looking dangerous and awkward I wouldn't want to carry that much gear around. If I do, I'll take the bloody car.
Everyone to their own I guess, what's your thoughts?

It's not dangerous, and far from awkward. My wife and I have done tens of thousands of KM's travelling around Australia with a bike & trailer combo. I would take the bike & trailer on holiday over a car any day. There is no way you could pack enough gear for a two up 4 week outack trip onto a bike, so we use the trailer for extra fuel (30L belly tank) and water. I guess if you'd rather take a car over a bike, then you are not a bigger bike nut than you think? It's just like running car tyres on bikes, too many miss-informed people making comments on things that they have no experience with. Those of us that run with trailers, know that they add to the rally / holiday experience.

Great Ocean Rd VIC. We were on our way to Tassie, Dec 27 07. Awsome trip, Tassie is a must do for any rider.
I'm a bit each way - I can see the benefit of a trailer on a long trip but I love the idea of riding with no gear at all.
Run truck for me.
