Hi Guys, newbie here. I have an 05 Fatboy which I noticed had a pretty fogged glass on the speedo when I went to the dealership yesterday. I had noticed it sometime before , but it was very bad , making it difficult to read in the sun. I have extended warranty on the bike, and I was wondering whether you guys think that I can get it fixed under that warranty  . . .  or not?

I did, and a mate did as well but they all do it again anyway. It will take Harley another 100 years or so before they get on top of this one.

Hmmm, mine is doing it too, might see if they can do warranty and go for a new dual speedo/tacho.

its common , my FXSTC speedo did fog up  & my Harley dealer said it happens @ times after a good hose down or wash . be sure when washing your bike not to direct to much high pressure water towards the speedo , once riding in some good weather the fog clears up .

Think of it as being the same as having no brakes, rusty spokes, or a leaking master cylinder, it just takes harley a while to realize that it is possible to do all these things correctly like the rest of the bike universe but in their defence they are making bikes to a budget, it might be the most expensive budget on the planet but they are trying ????

Mine has got so bad I have the condensation beading into water drops and will not clear .... I haven't even put the hose or pressure cleaner over it!

If ya got a tin coffee cup, make a nice hot coffee, drink half then sit the coffee cup on the glass......

I have a brand new Rocker C with 50kms on it - foggy speedo glass.....................damn.

The only reason it has (well, now 100kms) so few and it is three weeks old - damn rain in Brisbane!!

And I thought that was an exclusive optional extra to us Sporty riders only.

now I don't feel so special.
