What do i need to change   apart  from handle bars to put apehangers on and how much would it cost

You will need longer throttle and clutch cables and you will need to extend your wiring to the switch housings. Cost, depends on where you get it from. I'd try looking for a kit that includes everything you need in a package. I've seen some on U.S ebay, do a search.

what size ape hangers ?

 

Thanks,  is it just as simple as unclamping standard bars and replaceing with mini ape hangers and lengthening cables, ill have to relocate indicaters as well ?

licks do a bar kit with everything you need to extend cables wires etc.

Check out Hills Country Custom, they do a complete narrow ape hanger kit.

 How different is the ride using apes? Looks darn awkward.

I put mini apes on the old girls nightster she loves it Reckons they should come out as standard issue

Taffy I agree they do look awkward, but once you are behind them, they are a very comfortable.
