neutral light

    rolled the bike out the shed this morning key in ignition on kill switch on and NO  starter! nothing dead as howards awa,s shit bum bugger fuck what the!!!!

    go get the other fob and see if if that is it, still as dead as some women i,ve slept with, grrrrrrr running late for work now so take the can damn and a fine sunny bike riding kind of day! get home and ring the shop any ideas, ahh no we have no idea will have to come get your bike so ring harley assist and organise it, saves them having to do it i guess! guy turns up with a bloody huge tow truck, fuck i,m thinking i dont like the look of this! gets out of the cab and comes over and says hey you have a flat battery, mm no its all good see turn on ignition and kill switch, pump kicks in and try the starter, zilch! he goes to gear lever side of bike and says try it now, it bloody fires up no probs???????? guess bloody what, he saw i had no neautral light showing!!!!!!!!??????????  he has a honda gold wing that does the same thing, dont matter if it is in neautral it wont start if the neutral LIGHT is not on, so be warned people make sure your little green n is on or no rock and roll! can you believe this they have made bikes soo fool proof  now i,m a fool lol. anyway good end to story lucky the guy was another biker and had the same problem, phew!

    It's a damn good feature I rekon, it means you can't start the bike in gear. It will start if you have the clutch pulled in though. My Hyosung 250 was the same, that also had an added safety feature that you couldn't start it with the stand down, would be good if HD's had that too.

    hey kingchops read agin! the bike wasnt in gear it was in neutral but the little green n didnt come on!!!!! thats all it takes i know when a bike is in neutral i dont need a little green n to tell me when but apparantly the bike does!

    ps i also know when the side stand is down its the thing on the left side that holds the bike up and i,m gald the sporty doesnt have that safty feature!!!!!!!!!!!
