Loving the Iron for hooning around the Northern Beaches but I'm getting lot's of invitations for some longer runs but know that a couple of hours is enough to call for a chiropractor. Or at least a bum massage. Also the Sydney HOGS have a Canberra trip coming up that I'd like if they repeat it after I'm better set up and have had some highway hours to get my confidence up. Also the drag bars feel like they'd be tough on the hands after a while because of the leaning-forward position but they are great for getting down low at speed. Any suggestions on how to set this bike up for a half-reasonable result. Seat, suspension etc? - Yeah I know...buy a big twin (one day). All other suggestions welcome
a 100 in a 80 zone,,,,, Lock that F#&ker up and throw away the keys,
Honstley just do longer rides, you will get use to it.
the Stock seat is ok. We ride all day and do about 4 or 500 k'sa time
I get off my bikes feeling like I could do it all again. I ride with Drag Bars .
The 883 is a great bike on the open road
200 klm to a tankfull of fuel on a sporty (or most bikes)is enough for a break. Great sports tourers (with style) though! They will sit on 100+ klm all day and never scrape the pegs in the exciting stuff! Airhawk seat with sheepskin and different bars might help. You need to get out on the freeway for a blast.
I got a can of HTFU for you taffy
Thanks fellas. I'm convinced. AND you just saved me trading up to a Road King
Really appreciate the feedback. This forum is brilliant for newbies looking for input from the gurus. (This is me flattering you a bit so you'll stop putting s**t on me for being a girl).
