Gidday all, only discovered this site last week while 'Googling' Harley stuff - luvin' the fact it's Australian based and chock fulla good Harley info; so I've been lurking daily, learning lots and soaking it all in.

I'm taking ownership of my first Harley (08 Heritage Classic) this weekend, hence the 'double newbie' subject title. 

I've been lusting after a Harley since my first test ride over three years ago. I'm a Queenslander and my biking background is in vintage motocross with my previous roadies being a small Ducati and a big Beemer.

But the Harley was a revelation -  why hadn't I tried one years ago?! The rumble and the feel and the look of the buggers - I love 'em with my faves being the older retro styling. And now my time has come.
