Found a good website to buy stainless allen head bolts.

They have a good range of hex head, allen head, button head stainless bolts.

Just ordered 6 button head bolts to replace the silver torx head ones on the rear fender supports on my softail.

All for $39 delivered to my door.

They are based in Croydon Vic.

    http://www.kustombitz.com.au

Let me know if anyone has used them.

    Cheers,

    LIB.

    Lib,
$39 clams sounds a bit xy, I got my ss allen heads from the local "nuts and bolts" shop, $3-4 each. They certainly are easier to use than those torx heads. Don't forget the WD40 or INOX on the threads.............

be carefull with stainless fasteners as they can "pick up" (seize) quite easily and wreck the threads in alloy cases etc also like scotty said they are often not grade 8 or even grade 5

+1 on the SS bolts. saw a guy snap all his rear pulley bolts off just by taking off a bit hard. No burnout or anything. fuck it made a horrible noise. beware of the bolts supplied with bling too.

I recently fitted OEM Harley Davidson Chrome Torx bolt kit set for my rear Fender support of my FXSTC , they aint cheap to purchase but worth the $$ . i got a decent Torx bit socket on my 1/2" breaker bar & removing the standard bolts was easy  , i replaced the new HD chrome set no probs @ all . my "2 cents" .

Torx bolts may be able to Torx the Torx but they sure as hell can't walk the walk, piss them all off!!

yeah i work with alloy and stainless every day. not fun when 24mm bolts (thread not AF) seize up and in an enviroment where you can' t use a grinder and cut off disc to cut through them. just 1 example

just whatever you get peeps make sure it is of good quality.... pay the clams up front is better than paying big clams later because you stripped a head because of poor quality tools.

i believe they use torx for anti- tamper [less people have these in stead of allen keys ] what about the 12 point sockets to change your brake pads.use anti-seize with ss bolts.
