Do you acknowledge fellow bikers?

Many years ago the Mra encouraged all motorcyclists to acknowlege one another with a freindly wave or a nod of the head whilst passing on the road. This was a terrific advancement to the comradery of motorcycling. I still practice this trait, and I get great pleasure seeing  the other bikers shocked that a hd rider would acknowledge them. With all the trouble occuring at the moment we really should be trying to work as one. So, do you ignore fellow bikers or  respect them?

I tend to give a nod or wave if a rider is eyeballing me and indicates a welcome.

I get much more fun outa giving a nod or wave to a nice chick driving a Hyundai in a very short skirt as I cruise past

    Bt

This subject gets raised on every forum known
the thing is riders are selective, so much so if I ride the HD I get the nods from other cruiser HD riders and not from the sports bike crowd, If I ride the Buell (fighter) the some sports bike riders nod (who know me) but the HD brigade dont
local (Perth) riders only (usually) nod to those they know, one forum will not nod to the other, the majority of HD and cruiser riders are concentrating to hard on looking cool they forget to nod or wave

I just ride around with my arseless chaps on these days so everyone can kiss my arse

Mybe we should organise a NODDING/WAVING RIDE?

Anyway, I nod to everyone and like Crasher I nod to scooters too. No shame in doing it.

I usually nod or wave to all 2 wheel riders, a lot don't bother to reply.
If you drive around Australia, the more remote you get the more people wave, closer to the cities no one bothers, bit like that with bikes I guess.

Funny thing today, I took my boy into the city and came to a holt at a set of traffic lights . Low and be hold about 15 little people were on scooters, As i turned my head they were all Grinnin, a couple waved  and i gave the Nod. As we got to the vic market they caught up to me and yes i had to do it i gave it a blast as i was taking off at the lights . It echoed right through the city then i get pulled over what a mother, No fine just a warning oh and to put the standard pipes back on yes sir ...................Not

Yeh I agree crimson, should we nod when waved to or wave when nodded to or should we wave first or should we wait to be waved at its all too confusing.

I'm not bringing the camping gear so free accomodation would be great I'll just assume you said yes because bikers always help each other out.
