    Dam you DOT4!

Ive searched around & it looks like a common problem. For those that have had it replaced did HD have a solution to the problem & fix it?

Is it worth changing to DOT5 and changing the fluid more regularly or sticking with the 4 & changing the cylinder lid regularly?

I don't mind chrome but the train is black and I wanted to keep it black.

Its still under warranty, so ill just get it replaced while its free and think about chrome when it eventually happens again.

    What a fucken pain!

there is a new cover that will retro fit, if you get it warranty that is what you will get. the cap has bosses around the screw holes to set the tension, problem solved, DOT4 is a better fluid for street use over DOT5

I had mine replaced a few months ago as a warrenty thing. Was told that part of the problem is that the master cylinder gets over filled to begin with. I now have less fluid in there and ot appears to be okay for now.
