Almost 200 nominations were received and thousands of votes were cast. Now, the top 5 finalists for Oprah's Big Give ArkLaTex have been selected.

The finalists are:

• Bikers Against Child Abuse
• CLASS ACT Community Center (Mansfield)
• Drop It Like It's Hot (Shreveport youth deterrent program)
• Northwest Area Special Olympics
• Step-Up, Inc. (Shreveport substance abuse recovery center)

Voting has begun for the finalists! See the list below. Votes will be accepted through April 13. Votes for the top five finalists will be tallied and examined by a committee of representatives from KTBS 3 and Eldorado Resort Casino. Then, Sunday, April 20 during News at 10, KTBS 3 and Eldorado Resort Casino will present 10 thousand dollars to the winner, compliments of ABC
