So here's the story so far.

I'm dealing with a mob in the states for some custom mirrors. Their website states 8 weeks delivery so I paid the money on 11th September 2009. To date still have no mirrors

Below is the banter between us up to today

Sent: Friday, September 11
Subject: Sales Order

Dear Michael

Here is your sales order. Please note...shipping charges will be added at the time of shipping. USPS Prioirty International shipping to Australia runs approximately $35. Please allow 8 weeks for production and delivery. I will email you with a tracking # the day we ship.

Take the mirrors if they are what your after and never use them again, also the last bit from them doesn't make much sense on the 7 people in front of you in the list?

Anyway I had a similar experience trying to get a fender from Heartland Oz, spinning me loads of BS, I finally got it but only after a similar number of emails, actually a lot more emails, I spammed them nearly every other day till I got what I wanted.

You have no proof if mirrors are actually made or not!!   Me, I would take the money and run.

Just me but  would get your money back if you can (unless you really like the mirrors).

Don't want to sound negitive but if they havn't answered your emails or kept you informed

until you said you wanted your money back sounds a bit suss to me and the bit about having so many people

wanting them sounds suss to.

Farrrk, that a hard call isnt it. I dont see how they actually have them, seems odd. Smells a little, and you know what it is when it smells.
Probably the best mirrors in the world....if they exist.
I think if they were actually finished and boxed, they wouldnt have asked you, they would have just sent them, but its Americans your dealing with, and they arent the brightest sparks in the fire.
If you want them, tell them to send them and give you the tracking number, which you can track online. If it was me, I would tell them, no worries, you got them sold to someone else, so good for you, just reimbuse my CC, I will expect it done by X day (2 days max). So then, they cannot say, special mirrors, restocking fee, etc, as they never supplied and they have a sale....if they exist.

I am feeling your pain. 

My son last year order some fan dangle lights for his sportcars.  They were from overseas and the same  thing happened to him.  I said maaaate - you have been suxed in and your money is done. 

However, a month later he got evething as promised.  His wait time was something like 100 to 200% over the stated waiting time. 

What really happens is they (the company) wait until they have sufficient orders (and all the cash) to get the product manufactured.  So if you ordered at the front of the line they are gonna wait un til the back of the line presents its self, pays all the money - then they place manufature orders with the biillet people and glass people etc.

If they are a sus front company suxing money; your money will be gone anyway.  But my bet is as above. 

Hang in there brother now that you have waited this long.

better off putting the same amt of money again on the chocolate wheel than hold your breath any further

take the refund. they obviously have had to make some cut backs aswell if it takes 4 weeks to return an email. must be some nice mirrors?

Well you've gone this far, and if they are "in the box ready to ship" they are the ones in a corner now. I say go ahead and see if it's true and if you don't get the tracking number in a day or two ask for the refund.

If you don't get the refund report them to your CC company for disposition and refund. Keep all communication records and even write a note for the date, time, and summary of the phone call. Believe it or not, written summaries of phone calls are fairly strong if you have to use them.

Similar to Bano...take the refund. If you get the mirrors and they're not exactly right or there is a flaw, good luck getting a replacement in under a year.

Gotta agree with the majority here, try and get your quids back and tell em to get fucked if/when you do.

I'm still waiting for Frasers in Perth to let me know when my new screen I want is available, but that was 8 months ago so can't rush it I suppose.

They don't have my quids and won't be getting them ever again!!!

I'd give it another week or two - youve waited this long already..... Any longer tell them to get fucked -Name and shame em - then just spam them with bullshit emails, requesting quotes etc and waste a shitload of their time.... I know this wastes your time as well but it is quite rewarding haha
