I read a article claiming Harley Davidson is Doomed in the future , being that the majority of owner's are middle aged & older . that said , younger ppl dont fancy a Harley Davidson & rather ride jappa sports bikes . so once we older loyal owners fall off the radar , Harley Davidson will be Doomed ?

What A Load Of Shite IMHO  ..

AMF bought Harley in 1969, and sold in 1981, the same thing was said back then, this is the end of Harley Davidson. I say rubbish.

I think saying that Harley will be no more is like saying because of this mondeo ford want to replace the falcon with, that rear wheel drive cars will be also a thing of the past. Hahahah yeah fucken right mate.

What if the talk is correct, 2011 Harley Davidsons HAVE to be water cooled

I have heard (read) on this forum, people will not have one, so as the air cooled bikes get older they wont be replaced, that will be the end surely?

I still clearly remember the run out of the shovels, no way was anyone interested in the new high tech All alloy evolution engine, no way!! And then the same for the twin cam, then fuel injection, people saying WTF is this crap?? Nothing will change with water cooled.

all my boys talk about is going for rides on their harleys with their oldman . one wants to be a harley mechanic and the other a fitter and turner . I can see a future for harley for a while to come.

I seen a new yammy v star cpl weeks back, thought it was a softail at first glance. riders seat was lower than softails, a classic is a classic, money is money, lady gaga is not our thing and niether is the future, my opinion is harleys will become way out priced for value for money which in the short term will render them worthless but n the longterm become classic collecters items.

I'm 27 and ride a Harley. Not all younger riders like jappers. I'd rather sit back with my feet out rather than hug a petrol tank showing my ass to everyone behind me. Don't care about speed, when i open the softie up it throws me back good enough. My 2 cents.
