I have just installed the V&Hines 5 pin connector to stop throwing fault codes, but am not sure if it also keeps the flapper valve on the exhaust header open......i have S&S mufflers but am yet to change the air intake or run a different tuner so i was told there is no need to use the 2 pin connector for the intake .......Does anyone know if the valve will now stay open on the exhaust or do i need to jam it open..?   Many thanks...............brian

I took my Fatbob to my local HD service department and asked them to permanently open the exhaust valve. They do it via the onboard computer and doesn't require any electrical devices or physically locking the valve open. I also do not have any fault codes appearing. You will notice a big difference in available torque with the valve locked open.
