i tried to remove my battery as per the shitty owners manual tonight as my battery is getting little lazy and i want to charge it overnight, i am a shift worker so i dont ride every single day and when i try to take off the fucking negative cable on the tranny the alarm goes off and im following the stupid manual what could be wrong? i just want to give my battery a good charge so i get a few more years out of it. any input would be much appreciated thanks heaps guys.

I put a trickle charger on my bike. just hook it up when I plan not to ride for a while.

yeah everything went back to normal after i put battery back in, just had to reset the clock, but other than that bike runs fine and no other problems, to take battery out you need to turn ignition on then off and b4 the alarm activates you need to pull the main fuse on the positive terminal then youll be fine to remove battery as per manual, it worked for me cause i had same problems with alarm but removing the main 30 amp fuse breaks the circuit so all good after that. let us know how your install goes and if you have any problems rouge, laters

3737pisces how did you get on. do you know what battery voltage you had using a multimeter? my ride was getting a bit lazy not long ago so after changing the battery it doesnt drop much below 12.9 volts now after sitting for up to 10 days.
