Hey Cookster, welcome, bad news about your leg mate.
I would be more likely to just keep her turning over a few times a week, and then as as soon as you are ready, away you go.
Its no different to a few weeks of rain and not going out for a ride (although I had my rain induction last weekend so a few piddling drops wont be a problem any more)

Welcome to the forum Cookster and best wishes for a speedy recovery!!

I had a spinal fusion in August 2008 and couldn't ride for nearly six months because of complications from
the surgery....most days went into the shed and looked at my baby and visualized riding her down the road...
keep me sane and started her up every now and then to hear that music to the ears....polished the poor old
girl I don't know how many times....bloody good riding now but!!!

Be patient and allow ya self time to heal and then ride hard...live to ride, ride to live!!!!!
