Hi guys, about to purchase another HD. Currently ride a Ducati but I owned a 2000 Softtail Standard prior to the Duke. I'm 6'4" and honestly found the softy a tad small even with the extended forward controls and felt uncomfortable on the open road. So this time I'm thinking maybe a Fatboy with the floorboards may be the go?? Not necessarily looking for a new one, can be a couple of years old, but low k's preferably. I'd be interested to hear others opinions, especially from taller riders on the difference between floorboards and forward controls. I know I've gotta test ride a heap for comparison.

Colonel, yep I like the Dyna's a lot also, but somehow I feel the fatty's gonna win. Not sure yet, haven't ridden one yet but I've got in my mind what I want to do to one, and that's half the battle.

Well, I bit the bullet and got myself an 08 Fatboy.............lots of extras and very few k's. Just clicked over 2000 last night.
Fits like a glove. I really like the low riding position and the footboards.
