I have seen on some earlier Road Kings and Electra Glides etc, a chrome looking badge that is stuck or screwed to the 2 panels. They are a bit like a box shape design with another horizontal bar accross the middle. You may know what I mean. Talking to a friend with an Ultra, he has bought them and attached them to his bike. His comment was that people buy them not only for the look, but they actually protect the paintwork on the panel, which can get marked by a passengers jeans/trouser leg material constantly flapping against the paint.???? I actually like the look, but if it protects the paint that's a bonus. I have searched the Harley parts catalogue several times but couldn't find them, and yes I did ring my local shop and the young lad had no idea what I was talking about. I was going to wait until I'm at the shop again and ask an oldie, someone who might know what I mean.

Anyone have these on their bike?       Maybe they are not part of the accessory line up any more.....TC

Think you will find that it is called a bar and shield.Not sure where you will buy one these days.
