Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run

    Hi all,

    It’s on again, the Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run is being held on, Saturday 20 Feb. 2010.

    Register on-line at www.lancefielspokerrun.com to go into early bird prize draw to be eligible to win a fantastic prize. or you can register on the day.
    Registration and egg and bacon breakfast starts at 8:00 am. I suggest that you get there as early as possible to register as we will definitely be taking off at 10:00 am SHARP. Snoozers are losers, get in early and enjoy a fantastic day for a great cause.
     
    This ride is being called the FREE SHREE RIDE, we are raising funds for a local 15 yo girl who is suffering from the RARE disability ARTHROGRYPOSIS. This disease affects the limbs and movement of sufferers. Sheree has already been through 22 operations and she requires more surgery. All funds raised will go to Sheree and will help with ongoing surgery costs and in some small way, help Sheree obtain some independence. Check out the website www.taag.org.au for more details.
     
    This year’s ride will be starting and finishing at Lancefield Recreation Park, Chauncey Street, Lancefield.
    Free on-site camping will be available for those wishing to stay over for the night, or you can arrange your own accommodation in the local area. There is plenty of different places around but I would suggest booking ahead of time.
     
    There will be 3 stops along the way with the lunch stop being at the Flowerdale Hotel. We will be putting on a BBQ lunch with some light entertainment. If all goes according to plan, depending on numbers, we should be back in Lancefield no later then 3:30 pm.
     
    Once back at Lancefield Park we will have prize give aways and announce the best poker hand winners. There will be bands playing and a succulent spit roast dinner will be available.
     
    The local cricket club have offered there services and clubrooms for us to operate out of and they will be selling refreshments until 10:00pm.
     
    If you have come prepared then you can sleep/camp the night in the park and we will be putting on breakfast at approx. 8:00 am (see how seedy the head feels) on Sunday morning.
     
    So come along and join in the fun, lets all make this a day to remember. All welcome.
     
    Please remember this is a social ride, NOT A RACE! Riders and families of all ages are encouraged to attend. More experienced riders need to allow for this on the day. Illegal, dangerous unsafe and unacceptable riding practices will not be tolerated. Please show respect for all those participating regardless of there skill level.
     
    Also, we will have a helicopter following us on the day and helicopter rides will be available for those wishing to do so. A professional production quality DVD will be produced and will be available to those wishing to purchase a copy. (When available)
    All these services and resources are being donated in kind and we thank these people in advance for there generous time and efforts.
