Right, now I have scored most blokes attention, stand easy.  I am after opinions on replacing the rubber tank strap on the softie with a decent bit of leather. Issues are like when wet, will it degrade the paint underneath or promote rust.?

To those of you who were thinking chicks, tits, and leather bits, well done. The rest of you should PM bano re starting a gay lounge...

Because the rubber one has stretched and looks crap. So either a new one or look to another material.

I've replaced mine with a leather harley skull one, it's handled the wash and the sun stuff no worries. The chrome ones look cool but not on a night train.....But everyone to there own......If you reckon it looks good, go for it..........Leather, Chrome , Whips , Handcuffs....Bring it on.........

The chrome job looks better than the leather in my opinion. It's one thing I'm surprised that Harley have continued, that crappy looking plastic strip. It's all about after market sales, as usual.

I have had a leather one for about 5 years with no problems, a bit of leather dressing from time to time keeps it supple and stops it drying out and warping. Black is my choice for most things, I dont do chrome anything,if I can get out of it. If I had my way chrome would be illegal on a m/cycle!(LOL)
