I was thinking the other day, with all these Harley's around there must be some wrecking yards out there but i'm buggered if i can find any. I live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and i cant find any harley wreckers anywhere. Why is this? Might be a good business to get into. If anyone knows of any out my way can you please let me know.
Mick Rackham in Geelongs got tons of stuff, mainly pre twin cam.
Beautiful. Thanks guys. Hey walka you own a harley/aftermarket shop? Is that right? If so you might be able to answer my other question i posted in the parts section on the forum. Have you heard of 'Outlaw' brand forward controls? If so are they any good? They are on ebay in USA and sell for around $400. Be good if you could let me know your opinion. Cheers.

Cheers. Thanks for your help Walka. I think i'll come visit your shop when i save a bit more coin. I think i'd rather buy forwards here than on flea bay.

I know there used to be one here in Sydney, but I only ever went there once, his prices were over the top for second hand parts. He tried to charge me more than the cost of a new part when I went there so that was the end of dealing with them. I rang a few times to get prices on bits and pieces and then each time I was abruptly reminded why I hadnt been back there!(LOL) Probably the reason they arent around anymore. I'm not saying he was necessarily trying to rip people off or anything, and I realise he probably had huge overheads like paying the guy that pulled the bits off etc and rental on the premises etc, but why would you pay prices like that for used when you could get new for only a couple of bucks more. Anyway with eBay and others like it on the net there is not really a need for a middle man now as anyone can sell their used parts easily now..
