Hell Scotty thats too much to think about right now, and hey Kensim had a look at that web site you recommended, great site, so now I'm leaning towards the 103 big bore stage II kit which comes with SE 255 cams. I'm heading to the States in acouple of weeks and will try and bring the kit back.

I hear where your coming from, I've got a couple of weeks to research the best way to go, so any info right now is good info.

Scotty, thanks for that, I can buy the stage II kit for AUS $820, and that comes with the cams, the only reason I was considering the 103 kit was that it all came together, but increasing the displacemnet is not as important to me as getting a good setup with the 96in displacement, so I'm off to the States in a couple of weeks and intend buying some upgrades, but getting the combo right with my limited knowledge is now becoming a little confussing if you know what i mean.

Why take the heads to the U.S. to be done, you can get just as good job,if not better job done here. That is the problem, everyone thinks because harley is U.S. then everything for them must be better in the U.S. We have some of the best engineers and engine design and buildrs in the world right here in Australia.Shit,a mate of mine who is an independent performace guy here in outer Sydney built a 113ci Harley that puts out 145rear wheel H.P.,so no need to go overseas to get horsepower, unless it is to source the basic parts cheaper.

The other problem is sorting the guys that do know what they are doing from the clowns who either haven't got a clue or are just itching to get into your pocket.

The number of local drag racers that buy really nice ported heads from the US ready to go out of the box and let local guys "tickle them up" is amazing.

Perth in particular has some world class drag car engine builders. The fastest small block powered chev and ford sedans in the world are both locals....however I would guarantee we have some world class clowns too.

    cheers

I have the full 103 kit.
Installed by dealer here in tassie.
I have had the bike back twice, and it is still not running right.
Popping back through exhaust on deceleration, and surging with the occasional miss under light load.
Runs well under acceleration, and pulls well through rev range. Had my Vance & Hines baffles cut down and bike pulls better at higher rev range too.
No more SE for me. Point me in the direction of Aussie Head experts. PLEASE!

The other thing is that you are considering buying a 103 kit,the 07 is already 96ci,I thought the chirping beagle kit for the 96ci motor took it out to 110ci,and the 103 ci kit only fitted the 88ci engine.
