Replacing Dyna progressive rear shocks for stock.

The bloke I just bought my Dyna superglide from had put "progressive lowered shocks" onto it, as he was slightly vertically challenged.
I don't like them,  the bike "bottoms out" way too much on bumps and potholes. And I'm a bit taller. So, I want to replace the old ones.

Does anyone know if this is a simple job that I could do myself, or does it need any specialist tools or knowhow?

    Thanks

l use one of those $70 low lying flat jacks, to support the frame cause when you remove the shocks the swing arm will drop,
you can do one side at a time but the holes still move out of wack a bit ,a jack under the frame you can move it up or down by the mm. it just saves the hassle , oh the jack also holds the bike upright so's its not on the side stand...that helps as well,,,

I also got a Dyna that had lowered Progressive Suspension shocks on them ... (from a short*ss, too), he didn't think they were so bad so maybe they were comparable to the ride he got from OEM shocks. I swapped them for standard length PS shocks and I can say the handling has improved 100%, the shock absorbing is way better and all I lost is a little bit of kerbside good looks ... but that is NOT how you should decide what goes on your bike. For the same reason I binned the Bare Bones solo seat and now I don't get terminal bum cramp after 80 kms.

The job is absolutey straight forward. Don't even need a bike jack.
Over the last few years, it seems that too many people are dissatisfied with Progressive shocks. I have progressive 440's on mine and they seems to bottom out too easy.

I regret not getting some serious suspension like Ohlins or Ikon.
