Well good people,  after much deliberation i have recently sold my old shovel.  I have lined up a new softail to buy which is a fellow forum members bike .  He is located in NSW and I am in WA. I have never used a bike mover before, especially one that is interstate. So my question is, does anyone recommend anybody in particular?? Or horror stories??   It really is a shocking time of year to buy a bike because most places are shut for the holidays, but the show must go on. I have BIKENUT lined up, but they are telling me that they cannot do a pre purchase inspection as there guy is away as well   They have given me the best price to my door, as once she crosses the border she will be u/l.             WHADDYA THINK??

When i moved house i put the bike in a container with all the house stuff(last in, first out) and it went good. Cant help with bike carriers but i bet you get an offer very soon from a fellow forum member to ride it to WA for you for a very good price of a return air ticket. Good luck.

used Toll/Ipec... door to door PER-BRI was $500 and that was a negotiated price (more expensive other way)... great service and no damage. Try negotiating price. Might be able to put you onto a private carrier if you are also interested.

Mate...worked in the freight industry for many years...and I know Bikes Only pretty well (as well as the major players )

They are a family service out of Brissy and offer a good delivery service but aren't that cheap.

Make sure who ever you use...uses cages..hydraulic tail lifts and preferably has air ride suspension on the truck...I wouldn't even put my old KZ250C project on a general carrier....But like UH said...try to negotiate a rate. I worked for Kwickasair years ago when owned by TNT and the one off user was charged 100% but a regular user paid as little as 30% of the rate card....if you have an ABN number..tell them you're gonna open an account and see what you can screw them down to...
