    Hi all.

Am new to the site and the motorcycle seen. I recently brought a V rod muscle, an being only a young rider I dont have much experience or knowlegde with the techniqual side of things. I brought the bike second hand with only a few K's on it. The bloke before me had a custom exhaust made up and put on it. After getting my savings back on track, Im now looking at purchasing a tunner and air filter to hopeforly give the bike a bit more go, but mainly improve the feul ecconomy. Any recomendations as to which brand of tuner would best suit my new toy? I am prepared to fork out a few more coins if i'm going to get better results. Also are there any other tricks I could use/bye to improve  the fuel economy as I travel some long trips back to my old folks house, and it would be great if I could increase the distance between stops at the servo's?

Hey mate, im pretty sure the only way to get good fuel economy out of a vrod is to leave it stock and ride it easy i have a power commander 111 and k& n air filter in mine with pipes and it uses more fuel than standard but goes shite loads better, if your after good fuel economy id leave it, but im not sure if theres products out there to increase fuel economy apart from less twist of the wrist.

Thanks for all your replies... sounds like I might just leave it stock for the time been. But Im sure i'll be looking for a few more ponnies down the track. How does everyone like the new PC 5 with the auto tuner?? Or what about the thundermax?? Have heard some mixed views of the thundermax. Any guidence??
Thanks again for the quick replies
