I need to get the disc rotor off my late model Dyna rear wheel but am having a lot of trouble.

Snapped one torque screw wrench already.

Is there a special trick ?

Need help soon, need to paint the wheel before Christmas.

My buddy used torque bit sockets on his wheel and snapped three of them.

    Next suggestion ?

Use a Heat Gun to warm up the Locktite

Would a small butane torch do the trick ?

    Thanks guys. It worked.

Got a mate to hold a mini butane torch flame onto the head of the screw for 20 seconds or so and then got the Torx socket bit onto it. With a little force it came loose.

Hate to think how many Torx keys and Torx bits have been broken by guys trying to get disc rotors off cold ?

One mate of mine broke three and then gave up and decided to buy a new disc for his new wheel instead.

Don't forget to use the right color loctite when you put it back on. Its there for a reason.

The Red loctite is not sufficient ?

i wouldn't use red. Red is high strength and needs heat to dis-assemble. Blue is usually plenty strong enough and parts can be taken apart using hand tools without using heat.

Blue loctite, quality fastners and the proper torque and you should be fine
