Best way to V tune

    Downloading a map this weekend supplied by Scotty, but I need to V tune straight away as advised by Scotty. How do you guys that have the TTS V tune, either as the manual says (take a ½ hour nomal ride) or another way.

    I haven't installed a TTS yet but very keen to do so... I have been reading the threads and the manuals trying to get my head around tuning, I am a virgin in the field of EFI... so sorry for the dumb arsed questions!

    I put the bike in second gear and hold the throttle at 10 - 15 - 20 - 25 - 30 -35 -40 - 45 -50 -55 -60 -65 -70 -75 - 80 -85 - 90 - 95 - 100 -105 - 110 until the rev limiter cut ins.


    OK got that... but why only second gear? why not all gears at those speeds... ?

    Also holding the brake on and lugging will net you lots of the other areas often missed.


    wouldn't the engine lug at low speed in a higher gear, should have the same effect, or is that not a preferred methodology?
