I think i did a silly thing in buying a set of S&S slash cuts from the states.......removed my SE mufflers only to find that the S&S ones have a pipe around 30cms coming off them around wher the clamp goes, on the flange. I guess that this has something to do with their emmissions over there..?  Also it seems that the holes differ for the joiner bar. Here i was thinking how bloody smart i was to pick up the mufflers for only $230 aus. Can anyone add some input here please..?  But go gently on me as i am still in depression mode......haha......!    Now what do i put on.............hmmmm........decisions decisions.......am just in the right frame of mind today to put the angle grinder through the SE's half way down.......................such is life.......

I was told the part number is 55-6005 but i think that is crap barney......i am checking on it now mate.........once i find what bike they are for i will sell them here.........

What model bike are you on. Some SE pipes have a different fitting bracket to the OE pipes which have a balance tube as part of the bracket that the cans fit onto. The cans may be designed to fit onto the OE bracket, while your existing cans are on the SE bracket. Could be a simple fix just to get another bracket.

I am interested in modifying the SE's Gmeikle..........when i had them off i tried to dislodge the baffles but gave up as i was worried that i would stuff them up as well......where do i find the info..??

Also mate.............i know where the flapper valve is for the muffler.....but where is the inlet valve located.....?

 Sounds like they are from 2000-06 fatboy or duece. I fitted S&S to my Dyna and had to modify gearbox to muffler bracket to get it to fit. That part No is for Dyna 05-09 slash cut, sounds like you have been had.

SE Mufflers are now modified mate, many thanks there..........mine must have differed from yours......i had six rows of 4 holes...........these are 09 SE's i have.......drilled them out to 44 holes then threw them on........nice note but not quite loud enough as yet.......so back off they came for a couple more holes......64 to be exact...seeing it was way past 11pm i decided not to test my neighbours sleeping patterns.............this will keep me in suspense..........

BTW..........those S&S's owe me $350...........if anyone is interested please let me know........not a bad price considering Frasers quoted me $730.......and they haven't been on a bike as yet.........all we need to work out now is what model........they are for a harley......at least i got that part right.........
